Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Hold an active LPN or LVN license valid in the state of Florida Previous experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations preferred Knowledge of health assessment, care planning, and emergency response procedures Current CPR and First Aid certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with students, staff, and families Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Provide routine and urgent nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and management of chronic conditions Monitor student health needs and maintain accurate health records in accordance with school policies and privacy regulations Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student wellness and safety plans Educate students and staff on relevant health topics and preventive care strategies Respond effectively to medical emergencies and participate in school safety drills Support public health initiatives, such as immunization and health screenings, as needed Enjoy a fulfilling contract position that allows you to shape student experiences and contribute your expertise to an educational community that values care and well-being.
