LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
(LPN) ( PART-TIME
POSITION
EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)to join our healthcare team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert nursing care. As an LPN, you will provide essential patient support across various settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality care. Your expertise will contribute to a collaborative team committed to excellence in health services and patient outcomes. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management for acute pain or chronic conditions. Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, wound suturing, tube feeding, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic technique. Monitor patients' physiological responses during treatments like ventilator management or cardiac catheterization, ensuring safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on medication administration, disease management (including dementia, Alzheimer's care, or infectious diseases), and post-discharge instructions to promote recovery and well-being. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams during triage assessments in urgent care or emergency room settings to prioritize patient needs effectively. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records and billing purposes. Support special populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care by delivering personalized nursing interventions. Skills Proven experience working with Epic EMR systems or similar electronic health records platforms such as Cerner or Athenahealth. Critical care experience in settings like ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), or emergency medicine environments. Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, hospice care, or home & community care environments. Expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration—including injections—and venipuncture techniques. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Familiarity with infection control practices and sterile processing procedures to ensure patient safety. Experience caring for patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, spinal taps, or gastrostomy tubes. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently while adhering to HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics like pain management, nutrition, and discharge planning. Working knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal ventilators, or behavioral health cases. Ability to work effectively in inpatient settings such as hospitals (including PICU), outpatient clinics, or post-acute care facilities.
