Job Description
Type:
Full-time Position summary: Employee performs duties normally associated with LPN license in the CRF/ARF facility operated by a community behavioral health center. Services are provided to adults and children. Completes nursing examinations, assessments, implements plans, and evaluates patient status under the review of an RN. Provides nursing care; discusses medical changes with the patient; monitors vital signs, CIWA/COWS, administers medications and monitors for effectiveness, or signs of adverse reactions to medications. Provides medication and diagnosis-related information to patients, and answers questions as appropriate. Reviews patient medical charts and transcribes and/or prepares documents for doctor or APRN review and signature Maintains comprehensive and timely documentation including daily nursing notes. LPN provides work direction to technicians during shift.Benefits:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Florida. Minimum two (2) years' of experience, preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use diagnoses, preferred. Knowledge of recovery is an asset. Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test. Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record. Possess excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills required to ensure accurate documentation. Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures; including HIPAA and 42-CFR confidentiality standards. Ability to use a computer, including an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners. Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service. Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate positive communication with patients, treatment team, family members, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
