Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Provides clinical oversight and coordination of nursing services within the Gadsden residential programs. Supports and guides LPN staff, ensures compliance with nursing and medication management standards, and monitors documentation and treatment planning for accuracy and quality. Conducts audits, inspections, and infection reporting, provides training and direct care as needed, and promotes effective communication and continuity of care across residential units.ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports residential LPNs in daily activities, including nursing care and treatment, assessment, medication administration, admissions/discharges, planning, intervention, documentation, and supervision of residents, in accordance with unit procedures and physician orders. Provides direct nursing coverage as needed when no coverage is available. Ensures program compliance with all medication management, medication storage, laboratory specimen handling, biomedical waste transfer, hand hygiene, and narcotic control policies and procedures. Monitors implementation to maintain effective, efficient, and safe nursing practices. Provides training and education to LPNs on clinical nursing duties at the direction of the Program Manager and ensures completion of required documentation for personnel files. Coordinates and monitors the nursing components of treatment plans, ensuring inclusion of relevant assessment findings and patient care needs. Delivers and documents direct nursing care as indicated by physician orders and treatment plans. Conducts ongoing review and audit of nursing documentation, including MARs, verbal/telephone orders, and annual assessments, using the Clinical Review Checklist to ensure compliance with Agency policy and Joint Commission standards.Hours :
7:30am-4:00pm, Monday throughFriday Education/Experience:
Official transcripts from approved vocational or technical school. Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience. Previous psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment experience preferred. Ability to obtain information about, and interpret information in terms of, mental illness and substance abuse.Licensure or Certification:
Licensure as a practical nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464. Must obtain and maintain current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.Similar remote jobs
