This role supports the Wellness Director and Executive Director in maintaining high standards of clinical care, staffing, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight & Resident Care Supervise daily operations of care associates and medication assistants. Ensure resident care plans are implemented accurately and consistently. Oversee medication management systems and ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication with families and providers. Assist with direct resident care and medication administration as needed. Ensure proper documentation in accordance with state and company regulations. Staff Leadership & Scheduling Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules. Monitor attendance, call-outs, and staffing coverage needs. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance oversight to care staff. Assist with disciplinary actions as directed by leadership. Participate in Manager-on-Duty (MOD) rotation and on-call responsibilities. Training & Compliance Train and educate care staff through ongoing in-services and coaching. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory standards. Conduct audits of medication carts, documentation, and care delivery. Support quality assurance and improvement initiatives. Communication & Operations Serve as a key communication link between care staff, families, and leadership. Collaborate with the Wellness Director and Executive Director on resident care issues. Respond to emergencies and assist in resolving operational concerns. Maintain a positive, team-focused work environment. Qualifications Required Active LPN license in the state of employment. Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting. Experience with medication administration and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Prior experience supervising CNA's, Care Associates, or Medication Technicians. Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Senior Living operations. Experience with staff scheduling, training, or charge nurse responsibilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday. Ability to assist residents with transfers and mobility needs. Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
