Job Description

Riverside Care of Florida is hiring reliable LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) to care for medically needy adolescent clients in a professional and considerate manner at a community residential setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, Nurse practitioners and specialist physicians. LPN professionals must be qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic and skilled care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. The primary service area is Valrico, FL. The setting's total census is a max of four clients. Guaranteed 2 shifts per week (~24hrs weekly). May pick up more shifts as needs occur.
Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:
Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, tube feedings, range of motion, wound care, treatments, and other procedures as directed by provider orders. Assess client status/condition and the effectiveness of the treatment to ensure that the clients receive the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible Reporting changes in condition to Clinical Manager Provide professional, accurate documentation into the EMR. Assist aide staff with necessary activities of daily living such as incontinence care, bathing, and grooming. Teach and counsel the clients and families regarding the nursing care needs Skills Prior home health or group home experience strongly preferred. Experience with pediatrics and young adults with developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, endocrine disorders, and sensory limitations. Must know how to manage and administer tube feedings via bolus & pump. Strong clinical experience with seizure management Must be able to assist with lifting & transferring with knowledge of hoyer use. Ability to use critical thinking skills and manage time efficiently Strong interpersonal skills Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Solid computer skills; prior experience with Kantime electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Good physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and patient
Qualifications:
A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse in the state of Florida. Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma. Reliable transportation Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (with verifiable references) Valid Driver's license and social security card Valid BLS card Recent statement of health/Negative TB or PPD skin test Why join our team?
