Job Description

The Administrative LVN/LPN plays a critical role in supporting healthcare operations by combining clinical nursing expertise with administrative responsibilities. This position ensures the smooth functioning of healthcare facilities by managing patient records, coordinating appointments, and assisting with clinical tasks under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and to support quality patient care. The Administrative LVN/LPN acts as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate effective communication and efficient service delivery. Ultimately, this position contributes to enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency within the healthcare setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the United States. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited vocational nursing program. Basic proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software. Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to nursing. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an administrative nursing role within a healthcare facility. Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR. Experience with scheduling software and inventory management systems. Additional training or coursework in healthcare administration.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Coordinate patient appointments, admissions, and discharge processes to ensure seamless patient flow. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing patients for examinations. Serve as a point of contact for patients and staff, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication between departments. Support inventory management by tracking medical supplies and equipment, and coordinating restocking as needed. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards within the facility. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies and best practices.
