Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting student health as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an emergency backfill assignment in a school environment. This contract opportunity runs from July 6th, 2026 through July 16th, 2026, with morning shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm, totaling 14 hours per week. You'll work 1:1 with a student, making a direct impact through skilled care and compassionate support.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active LPN/LVN license Previous experience in school or pediatric care settings strongly preferred Proficient in monitoring vital signs, tube feeding (management and assessment), and providing all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) support Capable of safely assisting with student transfers and seizure management, including documentation and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) assistance Comfortable with asthma management and experienced using a suction machine Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations Strong organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, 1:1 care during scheduled hours to ensure student safety and well-being Carry out tube feeding, medication administration, seizure management, and ADLs as needed Maintain concise and timely medical documentation Communicate changes in student condition and collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers Utilize medical equipment such as suction machines and VNS devices according to care protocols This assignment offers the chance to make a positive difference in a student's daily life while working a consistent morning schedule.
