Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding short-term contract opportunity supporting a student in a specialized academic setting near Cartersville, GA. This role is ideal for a dedicated LPN/LVN seeking hands-on, meaningful work in a school environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to a student's safety, growth, and wellbeing during their summer academic program.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active LPN license in Georgia School nursing experience or strong clinical background Confidence in 1:1 student care, including medical monitoring and emergency interventions Familiarity with tasks such as tube feeding, seizure management, ADLs/transfers, and use of a suction machine Competence in VNS management and asthma care Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable within a dynamic educational setting
Role Overview:
Provide individual nursing care to a student, ensuring attention to medical, physical, and emotional needs Conduct regular monitoring of vital signs and document health data Administer and manage tube feedings and related equipment Oversee seizure safety as well as VNS (vagus nerve stimulation) support Assist the student with all ADLs, transfers, and physical supports as needed Manage asthma-related needs and operate suction equipment confidently Maintain clear, communicative documentation for all care provided
Schedule Details:
