Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, short-term opportunity providing essential care and support within an educational setting. This contract role involves direct, 1:1 nursing with a student, requiring expertise in a broad range of school nursing duties. You'll play a vital role in helping a student thrive during the summer session.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted LPN license in Georgia Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care Proficient in monitoring vital signs, administering tube feedings, and performing assessments Skilled with ADL assistance, safe transfers, and seizure management, including VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) support Familiarity with asthma care and use of suction machines Attentive, compassionate, and detail-oriented professional with strong documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, individualized care for a student from July 6th through July 16th, 2026 Monitor and document the student's health status, responding promptly to any medical needs or emergencies Oversee tube feedings, manage all aspects of seizure protocol, and operate or assist with VNS as needed Support all daily living activities and ensure safe mobility or transfers throughout the school environment Administer asthma care, including the use of a suction machine, as directed Maintain clear, thorough communication with faculty and parents as appropriate This assignment offers a weekday schedule from 8:00am to 12:00pm, totaling 14 hours per week—an excellent option for those seeking a flexible, impactful role.
