Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse
- PRN•All shifts available!
Pay:
Weekdays- $28/hour and Weekends
- $30/hour
Location:
Columbus, GA Alto Healthcare is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to fill PRN openings at a skilled nursing facility located in Columbus, GA. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories. Administer medications via various routes including injections and IV infusions while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound care, and sterile techniques. Support acute pain management and monitor patients for adverse reactions or changes in condition. Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Provide patient education on medication administration, disease management (including dementia and Alzheimer's care), and post-discharge instructions. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain sterile processing techniques. Support triage activities by assessing urgent patient needs and prioritizing care accordingly.Qualifications :
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an LPN.Licensure:
Must have an active Georgia LPN license. Active BLS/CPR certificationBenefits:
