Job Overview LPN Ward Clerk (Clerical Position) Cumming Nursing Center Cumming Nursing Center is seeking dedicated and organized Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team as Ward Clerks . This is a clerical support role designed to assist the nursing department with communication, documentation, and coordination of resident care services. Available Positions 1 Full-Time Position•4 days per week 1 Part-Time Position•3 days per week Both positions require every other weekend
Shift:
12:00 PM•8:00 PM or 1:00 PM•9:00 PM Position Summary The LPN Ward Clerk serves as a key communication and administrative support person for the nursing department. This position focuses on clerical responsibilities and coordination of resident care activities, ensuring timely communication among nursing staff, providers, families, hospitals, and ancillary service providers. Responsibilities Confirm and process physician orders. Receive and relay calls from hospitals, physician offices, laboratories, radiology providers, families, and other healthcare partners. Receive and communicate hospital reports and resident updates to nursing staff. Notify physicians and nurse practitioners of laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and changes in resident condition. Assist nursing staff with fall-related documentation as needed. Assist with admission paperwork and documentation as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Support nursing operations through effective communication and coordination. Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Current LPN license in good standing. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications preferred. Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Pay:
$30.00•$35.00 per hour
