Licensed Vocational Nurse - Private Duty Nurse

Amore Enchanted Homecare Agency is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a medically fragile client with complex cardiac needs. The ideal candidate must possess advanced clinical judgment and hands-on experience with mechanical circulatory support. About the Client Our client has a history of heart failure and requires comprehensive skilled nursing support. Due to the high acuity of this case, we are only accepting applications from RNs with verified experience in LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) management and anticoagulation therapy. Required Specialized Experience (Must Have)

LVAD Management:

Expert-level knowledge of LVAD device operation, driveline site care, battery management, and responding to device alarms/emergencies.

Anticoagulation Therapy:

Experience managing clients on Coumadin (Warfarin) . Must be proficient in using a PT/INR point-of-care machine and identifying clinical signs of bleeding.

Mobility & Safety:

Proficiency with Hoyer Lifts and safe transfer techniques. Must implement strict Fall Precautions .

Advanced Wound Care:

Monitoring and treating complex wounds with a focus on preventing infection and maintaining skin integrity.

Core Nursing Responsibilities:

General Skilled Nursing:

Administer medications (oral, enteral, injections), monitor vitals, and maintain infection-control best practices.

ADL Assistance:

Provide full support with Activities of Daily Living, including hygiene and grooming, while maintaining safety protocols.

Emergency Preparedness:

Recognition of early signs of cardiac distress or device failure. Ability to respond calmly and quickly in crisis situations.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate, detailed nursing shift notes and utilize EVV systems (e.g., CareTime). Qualifications Active Georgia LPN license (Required) . Verified LVAD and Cardiac Care experience. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Current TB test (within 12 months) and clear background check. Ability to perform physical transfers using assistive devices. Professional, dependable, and compassionate.
