Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students as a licensed practical nurse in an educational environment. This onsite opportunity gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing essential one-on-one care for medically fragile students from August 2026 to May 2027, working approximately 37.5 hours per week. The assignment may involve bus riding duties to ensure student safety during transport.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Georgia LPN license Prior experience within school settings or direct 1:1 care Strong general nursing skills: including G/J tube management, oxygen administration, and overall care for medically complex students Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver focused 1:1 nursing care to assigned student(s), adhering to individualized health care plans Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and per school protocols Monitor, document, and report changes in student's health status Support the student's safe transportation, including accompanying on the school bus if assigned Collaborate with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to foster the best learning environment Maintain compliance with all state and school district regulations and documentation requirements
