Job Description

Job description Primary Care of Southwest Georgia is searching for an LPN to join our team in Quitman, GA.
Duties include:
various duties that support patient care and is an integral part of the patient care team. Performs duties within scope/under supervision to the fullest extent to maximize patient care including but not limited to patient telephone assistance for clinical issues from the business office, patient medical history, vital signs, patient education, procedure prep, office procedures, injections, vaccines, in-house labs, venipuncture, stocking rooms and cleaning and disinfection patient care equipment. Provides general patient care and basic patient education. Roles & Responsibilities Schedules and coordinates patient/provider appointments. Assists providers with examinations, treatments, special tests, and procedures. Reviews patient charts, checks patients in, obtains and records patients' weight, blood pressure, urine samples, blood samples, and medical history, and assesses reasons for patient visits. Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the patients' conditions. Perform a variety of pre-examination work on patients; observe patient condition; record patients' medical histories and immunizations; administer blood pressure, hearing tests, vision tests, urinalysis, EKG's, PFT, and other preexaminations as necessary; measure patients' height and weight; prepare patient charts and record pertinent information. Administers medications; applies sterile dressings. Coordinates labeling, delivery, and receipt of laboratory specimens and results; provides information and coordinates follow-up visits regarding laboratory results. Documents QI indicators in E-Clinical. Coordinates referrals and transportation to these appointments if needed. Arranges appointments for radiology test and procedures. Monitors and maintains GRITS inventory. Performs monthly inventory count and submits to VFC (as assigned). Adminster immunizations. Processes pharmacy prior authorizations. III.
Qualifications & Education Requirement Training:
Vocational / technical training in Nursing; pediatric expereince preferred. Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
