Job Description

Education:
Must have a License (RN) or License (LPN) or Certificate (CMA) (EMT/Paramedics) Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): Taking medical histories & vitals Explaining treatment procedures to patients Preparing patients for examination Assisting the physician during exams Performing basic laboratory tests Instructing patients about certain medical practices (medications, labs, immunotherapy) Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician Authorizing prescription refills as directed & prior authorizations with insurance companies Assisting in biopsies/removing sutures and changing dressings as directed Giving injections Stocking rooms with appropriate supplies Refilling allergy trays and syringes Answering phone calls and assisting in scheduling appointments and referrals Learning front desk duties (answering phones, scheduling, taking payments, handling money, and other various administrative skills) Scanning files into patient charts Typing, spelling, and grammar Mixing immunotherapy serum and mailing out serum Miscellaneous clinic information We see a lot of children and feeling comfortable with giving them injections is essential. Adjusting to change and eagerness to learn new things are important because we are constantly innovating new ways to be more efficient. Hours
M-F 7-5, 4
day work weeks Salary is based on license and experience . We offer health, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, free gym membership, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and CEU reimbursement. Must be willing to travel to West Des Moines and Ankeny.
