Job Description

•$5/hr Retention Bonus!• Western Home Communities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to be part of our internal pool. Requirements:
Must be able to travel to Cedar Falls locations, Creekside in Grundy Center, Parkview in Reinbeck, and The Village of Ackley in Ackley. And other future locations of WHC. Full-time employees must work 3 self-scheduled weekend shifts a month OR choose an on-call weekend Part-time employees must work 2 self-scheduled shifts a month or choose an on-call weekend Must work 2 self-scheduled holidays How you'll impress us: You will be willing to work in a team environment You will be reliable and attend scheduled shifts You will ensure resident's rights are adhered to You will coordinate the preparation and planning of resident admission; giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care You will accurately administer all medications, treatments, and physician orders; taking ultimate responsibility for resident care You provide for the emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents and emotional support to families You can assist with supervising, assisting, consulting with, and teaching certified nursing assistants What you will need: A positive attitude Reliable transportation Must possess a current active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa. Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public. Prior LPN experience is preferred, but not required.
