Job Description
LPN - LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE, RN- REGISTERED NURSE
Briarwood Health Care Center is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN or Registered Nurse RN to wrok every other weekend 6am-10pm, receive weekend package pay, and also work 2-3 shifts during the week. This opening will preferably be filled by a Full-time Nurse. - Responsibility for daily nursing operations of a specific hall
- Provides nursing care for each assigned patient/resident including ongoing assessment and treatment to ensure the highest level of functioning is attained
- Administers prescribed medications orally and by injection; provides treatments using therapeutic equipment; ensures proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances
- Observes, records and reports changes in patient/residents' conditions to supervisor and attending physician
- Utilizes the Electronic Health Record to document care (Point Click Care)
- Plans, supervises and instructs Certified Nursing Assistants on daily assignments to ensure quality of care provided
- Provides education to patients/residents and families regarding care and maintains effective communication Experience and qualifications:
- Current IA Registered Nurse RN license or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN license
- Experience as a Nurse in Long Term Care preferred
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the center and work well within a team environment
