Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will play a vital role in supporting individuals recovering from opioid use disorder by administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Key Duties:

Administer methadone and other prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols. Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs, and patient health screenings. Monitor patient for adverse reactions and report concerns promptly. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to opioid treatment programs. Provide education to patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and overall wellness. Maintain medication inventory, storage, and security per regulatory guidelines. Promote a respectful, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment for all patients.

Methadone Clinic Required:

Current Illinois License as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or become licensed within 30 days of hire. Previous nursing experience required; experience in substance use treatment or behavioral health preferred. Knowledge of medication administration and clinical documentation standards. Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Pay:

$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
