Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential health support to elementary students during their summer program near Highland Park, IL. In this school-based nursing position, you'll play a vital role as the site nurse, delivering care and promoting a safe environment for young learners. Your expertise as an LPN, LVN, or RN with a current Illinois nursing license will be central to ensuring every student receives the attention they need. Orientation starts on June 9th, with daily duties running from June 15th through July 17th. Enjoy a consistent schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, which provides afternoons and an extended weekend free for personal pursuits. Compensation is highly competitive, with $30/hour for LPNs and $40/hour for RNs, paid weekly.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Nursing License (LPN, LVN, or RN) Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required Adaptability and strong communication skills Commitment to supporting a healthy school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-site nurse for elementary students Assess and respond to student health needs, including medication administration and emergency care Monitor chronic conditions and support individual healthcare plans Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure health protocols are followed
