Job Description

Job Overview Advanced OB GYNE Associates is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality patient care, with a strong focus on coordinating patient results, follow-up care, and communication. This role ensures timely review, documentation, and patient notification of lab, imaging, and diagnostic results while supporting providers and enhancing patient experience. Key Responsibilities Patient Results Coordination & Follow-Up Track, monitor, and manage incoming lab, imaging, and pathology results Ensure all results are reviewed, documented, and routed to the appropriate provider Communicate normal and abnormal results to patients per provider direction Coordinate timely follow-up appointments, referrals, and additional testing Maintain result tracking logs to ensure no results are missed or delayed Escalate urgent or abnormal findings to providers promptly Serve as a primary point of contact for patients with questions regarding results Patient Communication & Care Coordination Provide clear, compassionate education regarding test results and next steps Coordinate care across providers, specialists, and diagnostic facilities Respond to patient calls, portal messages, and inquiries in a timely manner Assist in care planning for prenatal, gynecologic, and post-procedure patients Clinical Support Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and prepare patients for visits Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as ordered Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as needed Documentation & Compliance Accurately document all patient interactions, results, and follow-up in the EMR Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Follow clinical protocols and workflows related to results management Support quality initiatives to improve turnaround times and patient satisfaction Qualifications Current LPN license (state-specific) Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in OB/GYN or women's health Strong understanding of lab and diagnostic workflows Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) Skills & Competencies Exceptional organization and attention to detail (critical for results tracking) Strong communication and patient education skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Clinical judgment to identify and escalate urgent findings Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach Preferred Qualifications Experience in OB/GYN, prenatal care, or women's health Familiarity with common OB/GYN labs (e.g., Pap smears, NIPT, STI testing) Experience managing patient result workflows or care coordination Work Environment Fast-paced outpatient clinical setting Frequent patient interaction (in-person, phone, and electronic communication)
Pay:
$26.72 - $32.18 per hour
