Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)MCA Senior Adult Day Center - Kankakee County, IL About MCA Senior Adult Day Center MCA Senior Adult Day Center is the only adult day center serving Kankakee County, providing compassionate, community-based care for seniors and adults living with cognitive and physical challenges. Our mission is to create meaningful days for every participant while supporting caregivers and families through quality programming, engagement, and individualized care. At MCA, we believe seniors deserve dignity, purpose, social connection, and compassionate support in a safe and welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team.

Kankakee County, Illinois Position Summary The LPN will support the daily health and wellness needs of participants attending the adult day center. Responsibilities include medication reminders, participant documentation, wellness monitoring, communication with families and leadership, and assisting with health-related programming and education. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working with seniors, including individuals living with dementia. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide medication reminders and medication assistance in accordance with Illinois regulations and MCA policy Complete participant documentation accurately and timely Monitor participant health status and report changes to leadership Assist with monthly vitals and wellness monitoring Support bowel and bladder tracking/program documentation Observe participants for signs of illness, decline, or behavioral changes Communicate participant concerns to families and leadership as appropriate Participate in dementia education and staff training initiatives Support participant socialization and engagement throughout the day Assist with participant safety and supervision Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Support compliance with Illinois Adult Day Services standards and policies Qualifications Current Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification Experience working with seniors, dementia care, adult day services, long-term care, home health, or related healthcare settings preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently in a small team environment Compassionate, patient, and dependable Must successfully complete background check requirements in accordance with Illinois regulations Preferred Skills Dementia care knowledge Experience with behavioral redirection Experience with medication documentation Ability to build positive relationships with participants and families Strong observational and organizational skills Why Join MCA?
