Medical, Dental, Vision 457B and employer match for FT employees Company paid STD and LTD Job Summary The Orthopedic Clinic Nurse (LPN or RN) provides skilled nursing care and clinical support to orthopedic providers in an outpatient clinic setting. This role is responsible for patient assessment, care coordination, clinical procedures, and patient education related to musculoskeletal conditions and treatments. The Clinic Nurse collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Job SpecificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Illinois licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical assessment, and patient education.
- Previous experience in orthopedics, surgery, or an outpatient clinic setting.
- Experience with orthopedic procedures, injections, casting, or post-operative care.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Must have knowledge of the following: current clinical practicesmonly implemented by the family practice nurse, medical terminology, Service Organization and office policies and procedures, all technical equipment used, use of personal protective equipment inpliance with DCD and OSHA guidelines, rules and regulations concerning child abuse reporting and guardianship. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required from the employee.ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS
Must have the ability to express thoughts in clear and concise terms, both verbal and written. Must have the ability to adapt and prioritize during high-volume periods. Must have the ability and dexterity to operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner. Must be interested in self-motivation and self-improvement. Must be interested in all aspects of providing primary care and / or surgical services. Must be interested in clinical and financial aspects of performance in a medical office setting. Must be able to use tact, courtesy, and diplomacy when dealing with employees, supervisors, doctors, patients, insurancepanies, and the general public.
