Your Mission:
More Than a Teacher, Be a Catalyst As an LPN Instructor at CALC, you will be the heart of our program. You will transform textbook knowledge into real-world mastery, fostering a dynamic learning environment where students don't just learn—they understand . Your mission is to build confident, skilled, and safe practical nurses ready to excel from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Bring Curriculum to
Life:
Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on curriculum that aligns with the highest standards of COE, IBHE, and IBON accreditation. Mentor in the
Classroom and Clinic:
Lead students through theoretical learning and supervise them during clinical rotations in diverse settings—from long-term care to acute care environments.
Assess and Inspire:
Evaluate student performance through innovative assessments, direct observation, and compassionate mentorship, ensuring competency in essential nursing skills.
Champion Student Success:
Guide students through care plans, documentation, and complex procedures, serving as their steadfast advocate and expert resource. Collaborate for
Excellence:
Partner with healthcare facilities to coordinate top-tier clinical experiences and maintain our strong community reputation.
Leverage Technology:
Utilize modern learning management systems (LMS) to enhance instruction and provide a seamless learning experience.
Who You Are:

Non-Negotiable Qualifications:
Educational Foundation:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. A Master's is a plus.
Clinical Credibility:
An active, unencumbered RN license in Illinois, with a robust clinical background that you are proud to draw from. A Heart for
Teaching:
Prior vocational or career school teaching experience is highly preferred. We want someone who understands and thrives in our hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Regulatory Acumen:
Familiarity with the landscape of accredited nursing education. Experience with Title IV and WIOA processes is a significant advantage.
