Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Nurse RN or LPN, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, respiratory status, and physical examinations to determine care needs. Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management with precision and attention to safety protocols. Manage IV infusions, medication administration, and injections while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate charting, medical records management, and documentation of patient care activities. Conduct triage assessments for patients presenting with respiratory or other acute issues in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or home care environments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services. Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques during procedures such as specimen collection, catheterization, or sterile processing. Skills Proven experience with Epic EMR systems; familiarity with Cerner or Athenahealth is a plus. Critical care experience in settings such as ICU, emergency room, or Level I/II trauma centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical terminology related to respiratory health. Skilled in airway management techniques including ventilator use and airway stabilization procedures. Proficient in performing venipuncture, IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy, and medication administration with accuracy. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; knowledge of Alzheimer's care and memory care is advantageous. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient, inpatient, or home & community care environments.
