Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference this ESY (Extended School Year) in a school-based nursing position supporting students' health and well-being. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated LPNs or RNs who thrive in educational environments and are eager to deliver compassionate care throughout the summer session. As a valued school nurse, your expertise will ensure students have a safe, supportive space to learn and grow. You will work closely with educational staff, students, and families, providing essential healthcare services and promoting a healthy school community.
Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license School nursing experience preferred, or previous work with children or adolescents Understanding of common pediatric health concerns and care plans Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergency medical situations
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, daily nursing care to students, including medication administration and first aid Assist in managing and implementing individual health plans for students with special medical needs Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and parents Monitor and document student health status, reporting concerns as needed Support
COVID-19
protocols and general infection prevention measures Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster overall student wellness This position provides the chance to gain valuable school-based experience and make a positive impact in an educational setting.
