Job Description
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a positive impact in a school environment by providing dedicated nursing support as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 1:1 student assignment. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful position working onsite at a school near Lansing, KS, supporting student health and well-being throughout the school year. Key qualifications for success in this role include: Active and unrestricted LPN license Experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred Compassionate care approach and comfortable working with children and adolescents Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Proficient communication and record-keeping abilities Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic school environment Willingness to work onsite for the entirety of the assignment Primary responsibilities involve: Delivering 1:1 nursing care for a student, following the physician's care plan and school protocols Monitoring health status, administering medications, and providing medical treatments as required Documenting health interventions and maintaining accurate healthcare records Collaborating with school staff, families, and medical professionals to ensure the student receives consistent and safe support Responding promptly to health concerns, emergencies, or changes in the student's condition Promoting health education and fostering a supportive environment for learning and development This position offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), including the ESY (June 1st-25th, Monday-Thursday, 8:10 a.m.-12:10 p.m.) and the upcoming new school year (August 12, 2026-May 20, 2027).
