Job Description:
+ Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician's clinic. + Places patients in the examining room and ensures their comfort. + Performs patient intake entry, obtains vital signs, and documents patient information. + Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and office surgeries. + Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to state and federal regulations. Screens telephone calls, takes accurate clinical messages, and answers routine patient inquiries. Performs triage duties according to practice protocols. Ensures exam room equipment is clean and properly set up before each patient encounter. Manages sterilization of non-disposable instruments and maintains appropriate logs. Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the provider. Handles medication and prescription questions, refill calls, and ensures accurate documentation. Obtains insurance prior authorizations for medications and communicates changes to providers and patients. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE , performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
