Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. Every day, you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you will exhibit genuine compassion for patient well-being, an understanding of your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation. Provides families of patients with emotional support, information and guidance in treating the identified patient. Educates patients and families in areas of health and illness that maintain optimum levels of physical and emotional functioning. Maintains designated yearly competencies by unit. Maintains certifications according to specific unit requirements. Demonstrates a strong belief and behaviors consistent with the Saint Joseph Healthcare Mission and Core Values (Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence). In a clinical or education setting, may oversee one or more Associates, such as Nurse Assistants, Unit Secretaries, orientees and students. •Sign On Bonus up to $15,000 and Education Assistance (Student Loan Payback) up to $24,000 for Eligible Hires•Job Requirements Required Graduate of accredited program in practical nursing. , upon hire
