Clinic Nurse (RN or LPN)

About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Allergy Nurse to join our clinical team. This role plays a key part in supporting patients with allergy-related conditions through testing, treatment administration, education, and ongoing patient care. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Perform allergy-related clinical procedures, including: Skin testing (scratch/prick and intradermal) Spirometry or breathing assessments (if applicable) Administering allergy immunotherapy injections Monitor patients for adverse reactions following testing or injections and respond appropriately. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EHR. Prepare, mix, and label allergy serum according to established protocols (training provided). Educate patients and families regarding allergy treatment plans, avoidance strategies, and symptom management. Assist providers with clinical evaluations and follow-up care. Maintain compliance with infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards. Support general office and clinical functions as needed. Consult with and keep supervisor informed of clinic activities, needs, and problems related to patient care. Comply with established patient care standards.

Qualifications Required:

Active LPN or RN license in the state of Kentucky. Current BLS certification. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Comfort working with patients of all ages. Prior allergy or immunology experience preferred. Preferred Skills Knowledge of allergy testing procedures and immunotherapy Experience with EHR systems Ability to remain calm and proactive during allergic reactions or emergency situations Strong patient‑education skills and bedside manner Physical Demands Regularly exposed to risk of blood borne pathogens Exposed to unpleasant elements Lift, position, pushes and/or pulls and transfers patients Lifts supplies and equipment Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 20 pounds)

Pay:

From $60,000.00 per year
