The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on patient care. This position is responsible for administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and responding promptly to healthcare needs. Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Deliver Quality Patient Care:
Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with established medical protocols and physician orders. Monitor & Respond toPatient Needs:
Assess patient health, observe changes in condition, and respond promptly to medical needs to ensure optimal care and safety. Collaborate withCare Teams:

Job Appointment A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment. This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process. If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment.Compensation:
This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $22.30 per hour. This position also offers premium pay: A rate of $5.00 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to regular pay. Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.Other Important Information :
