Overview Licensed Practical Nurse Pay scale: $67,992-$77,992
Sign-On Bonus:
$5,000 (paid quarterly over 18 months) for full time positions. Responsibilities Clinical Care & Assessment Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards Monitor and document student health status, including vital signs and response to treatment Conduct sick calls and respond to medical needs, injuries, and emergencies Participate in student admissions, including initial health assessments Medication & Treatment Management Prepare, administer, and document medications in compliance with policy and scope of practice Maintain accurate medication records and oversee controlled substance inventory Assist in psychiatric medication monitoring and reviews Coordination of Care Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and specialist appointments Communicate with physicians, specialists, families, and internal teams regarding student care Obtain and document physician orders, lab work, and diagnostic results Refer students for additional medical services as needed Health Education & Support Educate students, staff, and families on health conditions, treatments, and wellness practices Provide guidance on nutrition, medication management, and overall health maintenance Support the development of individualized student health education plans Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Conduct audits of medication administration records Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures Collaboration & Team Participation Work collaboratively with nursing staff, clinical teams, and school personnel Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and care planning sessions Support staff training, orientation, and ongoing education initiatives Skills & Attributes Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and student-centered care Qualifications Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of nursing experience preferred Valid driver's license requiredSimilar jobs in Barre, MA
