HomeCare Hands Main Office - 807 Worcester Street Springfield MA with local travel Position Summary HomeCare Hands is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Educator to join our growing education and training team. This role is responsible for educating, mentoring, and developing caregivers through onboarding, skills training, competency validation, continuing education, and professional development programs. •This is not simply an instructor position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare education, committed to excellence, and excited to help build and grow educational programs. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, proactive, and energized by helping others succeed. They enjoy teaching, problem-solving, improving processes, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. •This role works closely with and is mentored by the Director of Education & Training, with opportunities for professional growth and increasing responsibility over time. We are seeking someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our leadership and education team. This position is based out of our Springfield office and serves as a key member of the HCH EDU team, supporting caregiver development, training programs, competency validation, and educational initiatives throughout the organization. Primary Responsibilities Caregiver Education & Training Facilitate caregiver orientation and onboarding programs. Teach caregiver training courses and educational workshops. Lead classroom, virtual, and hands-on skills training sessions. Provide individualized caregiver coaching and remediation. Deliver continuing education and professional development programs. Assist with development and revision of educational materials, presentations, and training resources. Competency Validation & Skills Assessment Conduct onboarding skills assessments for new caregivers. Complete annual competency evaluations and skills validations. Observe and evaluate hands-on caregiving skills. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support caregiver success. Maintain accurate documentation of training and competency completion. Education Program Support Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of educational initiatives. Support training compliance and regulatory requirements. Help identify knowledge gaps and educational opportunities throughout the organization. Participate in quality improvement and workforce development projects. Assist with special projects related to education, compliance, and caregiver development. Community Education & Outreach Assist with wellness seminars, community presentations, and educational events. Represent HomeCare Hands professionally in the community. Support growth and expansion of HCH EDU programs and offerings. Administrative & Team Support Maintain training records and educational documentation. Assist with scheduling training sessions and competency evaluations. Track certifications, competencies, and educational requirements. Collaborate closely with operations, nursing, and leadership teams. Support additional projects and responsibilities as the education department continues to grow.
Qualifications Preferred:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Massachusetts.
Also Considered:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with strong clinical experience and demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or training abilities. Preferred Experience Two or more years of healthcare experience. Home care, long-term care, assisted living, rehabilitation, hospice, or hospital experience. Previous training, teaching, precepting, mentoring, supervisory, or leadership experience (working with adult learners is a plus). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative. Professional, positive, and solutions-focused mindset. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to learn and utilize educational technology and training platforms. Why Join HCH EDU? Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
