Key qualifications and experience:

Current, valid MA RN or LPN license required Previous school-based nursing experience is highly recommended Ability to manage medication administration, first aid, and health assessments Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Primary responsibilities include: Providing daily nursing care and responding to health needs of students Administering medication and maintaining health records in accordance with school policies and state regulations Addressing health emergencies promptly and effectively Educating students and staff on health and wellness practices Contributing to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment Collaborating with administration and outside healthcare providers as needed This school nurse opening is for the Extended School Year (ESY) summer school program, running from July 1, 2026, through August 6, 2026. Hours are 9:00 am to 2:45 pm, Monday through Thursday—allowing for valuable work-life balance during the summer months.
