Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Support students' health and well-being in an educational setting as a dedicated school nurse. This contract opportunity offers an engaging role near East Weymouth, MA, perfect for a licensed LPN or RN looking to make a positive difference in young lives. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working closely with students and school staff to provide essential healthcare services, including accompanying students on bus rides as needed.
Qualifications:
Active and valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license required Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or a comparable clinical environment preferred Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and fellow school professionals Comfortable following school health protocols and policies Reliable, attentive, and adaptable to changing needs throughout the school day Capable of assisting with bus riding duties to help ensure safe transport of students
Responsibilities:
Manage daily healthcare needs of students, including medication administration, first aid, and routine assessments Monitor and respond to health emergencies, providing appropriate care and contacting parents or guardians as necessary Document health services rendered and maintain accurate student health records Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school leadership to support student wellness Ride the school bus with students to offer medical support during transport This role offers a consistent schedule of three days per week—Monday, Tuesday, and Friday—for a total of 21 hours, making it an excellent fit for those seeking part-time work with weekly pay.
