Overnight Shifts (Monday and Thursday 10:30pm - 7:30am) Excellacare is seeking to hire an LPN for a kind, verbal young adult female client living with a physical disability in her own home in Ann Arbor. The client is ventilator/tracheostomy machine dependent. These visits are overnight visits and you are required to complete tasks for the client throughout the evening.
Shifts:
Monday and Thursday 10:30pm - 7:30am Opportunity to pick up additional shifts on a PRN basis as comfortability and knowledge of case increases!
Responsibilities:
Safely turn, reposition, and transfer client to ensure comfort and prevent pressure injuries Operate and assist with Hoyer lift for patient transfers as needed Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care , ensuring proper function and hygiene Administer medications accurately and according to physician orders Deliver high-quality personal care , including peri care and hygiene support Monitor and record vital signs , reporting any changes to the healthcare team Perform wound care and dressing changes following established protocols Assist with suctioning to maintain airway clearance and respiratory function Document hourly notes on written flow sheet as well as electronic visit verification system
Requirements:
Must be 18+ years old Must have valid LPN License Must have own transportation and valid driver's license Able to pass a background check Experience with hoyer lift, ventilator, tracheostomy machines Must be okay with cats (one friendly cat in the home) Must be punctual, respectful, and able to maintain a calm, positive presence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Why This Job?
