Job Description

We are looking for a motivated allergy LPN/medical assistant for our growing practice. This individual will perform specialized duties, including allergy testing, preparation of custom allergy serums, injections and general medical assistant tasks. The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills, attention to detail and be able to keep accurate records. A minimum of one year allergy experience is required.
Allergy Department Duties:
Making sure that the patients complete all necessary paperwork and that insurance eligibility is verified for each patient prior to test and immunotherapy as needed. Responsible for educating patients on the administering of injections and immunotherapy process. Track patient compliance. Will ensure patients progress by following up with the patient and monitoring medication is picked up on a timely basis. Responsible for the overall effectiveness of the immunotherapy process to include the administration of quality allergy testing, and the formulation and preparation of the allergy medication. Responsible for the security and maintenance of inventory levels. Make sure that inventory is ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Scheduling immunotherapy appointments Prior authorizations Crosstrain with our clinical department to provide added support when necessary.
