Job Description

Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary The Part-Time LPN/RN is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a small, resident-centered nursing home environment. This position works collaboratively with nursing assistants, providers, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote resident health, safety, dignity, and quality of life. The ideal candidate values building meaningful relationships with residents and enjoys working in a close-knit team setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and safely. Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions, reporting significant changes to the appropriate provider and nursing leadership. Develop and update care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Respond to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition promptly and appropriately. Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other assigned staff. Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members regarding resident care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control practices, and facility policies. Promote a positive, respectful, and resident-focused environment. Qualifications Current LPN or RN license in the State of Minnesota. Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric experience preferred but not required. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. Schedule Part-time position. 40 hours per pay period Includes rotating weekends and holidays as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift. Ability to lift and transfer residents with assistance and equipment as appropriate.
