This position pays $30.00 to $35.00 per hour depending upon experience, qualifications, and competence. Organization Overview NUWAY is a non-profit organization serving individuals recovering from co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders since 1966. LPN Position Overview The LPN's role is to help educate and assist each client in achieving and maintaining their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being through the provision of medication and treatment administration and through quality, personal care. The LPN must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements. Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience for the
LPN:
Must have a current LPN license in the State of Minnesota. Must be age 18 or older. Must have current First Aid/CPR Certification obtained within 30 days of starting work. Must be able to pass Minnesota DHS background study. Must be free of problematic substance use for at least two year immediately preceding employment and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds. Possess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary team.
Physical Demands:
Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of computer, phone, and other household and office equipment. Lifting (max 25 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping. Conducts self in a professional manner. Competent computer skills and able to effectively enter information in various systems.
