Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN)

Aspire Senior Living Carthage - Carthage, MO Aspire Senior Living Carthage is a respected long-term care facility committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) to help lead our efforts in wound management and infection prevention. This is a key clinical position focused on improving resident outcomes and maintaining a safe, healthy environment for both residents and staff. The Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) is responsible for assessing, managing, and monitoring resident wounds, as well as leading the facility's infection prevention and control program. This dual Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) role involves hands-on clinical care, staff education, policy development, and regulatory compliance. Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN)
Duties:
Perform comprehensive skin and wound assessments. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care plans. Administer wound treatments and monitor healing progress. Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to adjust treatment as needed. Wound/Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN)
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Missouri. Wound care certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Prior experience in long-term care and in both wound management and infection control preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to educate and lead staff on clinical best practices.
