FLSA Non-exempt Calendar LPN Benefits Eligible (Retirees not benefit eligible) Contract Type Notification Bargaining Unit None Revised Date 01/09/2026 PURPOSE The Columbia Public School District is accepting applications for an LPN to care for medically fragile students in the classroom setting. The LPN School Nurse strengthens and facilitates the educational process by modifying or reducing health-related barriers to learning of individual students and by promoting an optimal level of wellness for students and staff.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, management, and/or referral activities. Serves as the direct link between physicians, families, and community agencies to assure access and continuity of health care of students. Provides relevant instruction, counseling, and guidance to students, parents, staff, and others concerning health-related issues. Upholds professional standards, the state Nurse Practice Act, and other state and local statutes and regulations applicable to school nursing practice. Performs other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, LPN certification required; Missouri professional nurse license; Current certification in CPR/AED; Minimum two years' experience requiredPreferred:
