Level 1 Med Aide/Assisted Living

Duties Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper protocols are followed in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote engagement in social and recreational activities. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental health status, including symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Maintain detailed medical documentation including care plans, incident reports, and medical records using EMR systems. Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently. Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive medical information. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred. LIMA Certified preferred. Experience in hospital settings or home care environments is advantageous. Familiarity with working with seniors. Demonstrated ability to use EMR/EHR systems. Previous caregiving experience involving medication administration. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management ensures confidentiality at all times.
