Position Summary The Psychiatric Clinic Nurse (LPN or RN) provides client‑centered nursing care in a behavioral health outpatient clinic setting, ensuring that physician and advanced practice provider orders are carried out accurately, safely, and in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. This role completes standard nursing assessments, supports medication management, coordinates care with the treatment team, and serves as a key clinical resource for medical and nursing‑related matters. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays , supporting strong work‑life balance.

What You'll Do:
Nursing Assessment & Care Coordination Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in accordance with service line requirements and scope of licensure. Obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and required screenings. Evaluate client physical health status and identify needs requiring follow‑up or intervention. Monitor client health status throughout services and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Develop and implement action plans related to physical and mental health treatment needs. Medication Management Review medication regimens with clients and guardians (as appropriate), providing education on medication purpose, benefits, and adherence. Administer and oversee medication administration according to service line requirements and state regulations. Monitor Medication Administration Records (MARs), physician orders, and medication compliance. Consult with physicians, advanced practice providers, and pharmacies to verify prescribed medications. Coordinate medication needs with pharmacies, clients, and families, including indigent drug programs when applicable. Monitor and document medication side effects, utilizing standardized assessment tools as required. Oversee and administer therapeutic injections (subcutaneous and intramuscular). Clinical Support & Medical Services Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during client examinations. Arrange and coordinate medical appointments for clients experiencing medical issues during treatment. Manage medical emergencies, including injuries and adverse medication reactions. Set up, draw, and process laboratory tests and perform special procedures as ordered. Monitor laboratory results and collaborate with providers and clinical staff regarding follow‑up care. Oversee infectious disease control practices, client hygiene, and facility health‑related concerns under nursing leadership. Provide disease prevention, risk reduction, and general health education to clients as needed. Documentation & Compliance Complete all required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with Centerstone policies and procedures. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with state regulatory standards. Professional Responsibilities Demonstrate engagement with Centerstone's short‑ and long‑term goals and objectives. Perform additional duties as assigned by program or nursing leadership.
