RN/LPN

Position Summary The Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) is responsible for supervising and delivering nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state (Missouri), and facility regulations, policies, and procedures. The Charge Nurse oversees CNA staff, ensures quality resident care, and serves as the primary clinical leader on the assigned shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and direct nursing staff (CNAs, and other assigned personnel) on assigned shift Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations Monitor residents' conditions and report significant changes to physician, DON, and responsible parties Carry out physician orders and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members Participate in care planning and ensure implementation of individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards (CMS and Missouri DHSS) Provide guidance, support, and training to CNAs and other staff Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications Current, active Missouri nursing license (RN or LPN) in good standing Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current CPR certification (BLS) required Minimum of [1 year preferred] experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to supervise and lead staff effectively Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
