Opens a new window. Description Beacon Healthcare Group is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for an 8-week renewable Contract to care for the residents in Savannah, MO location. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, cool-tempered, and will have experience in providing diverse basic care to those who need it. You will work under the supervision of an RN or Doctor. Working at Laverna Manor Health & Rehabilitation means you'll be joining a dedicated team of health professionals in an innovative, inclusive, fun, and growth-oriented setting. 8-week renewable contract Responsibilities Record patients medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc. Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions Direct staff as necessary Skills Proven experience as LPN Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work with a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Compassionate and able to handle stress BLS certification preferred A true passion for caring for the elderly Apply with your resume and call or text to schedule an interview!!! 816-429-0856
