Job Description
Job Summary:
The LPN provides quality patient care. The LPN shall assist in the implementation of the nursing process by providing direct patient care as evidenced by patient care documentation, direct observation, and patient evaluations. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. The LPN is responsible for taking vitals sign, height, and weight of patients. Review medication with the patient doing each encounter at visit or on a telephone messages. The LPN is responsible for returning messages to patient and routing to the Doctor for review and or orders. The LPN is responsible to maintain accurate record of the sample medications with weekly count. They are responsible for keeping their LPN license and CPR current. The LPN needs the knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.Performance Expectations:
Demonstrates knowledge of penalties and sanctions on individual or organization for the misuse of a patient's health information. Demonstrates the ability to accurately document patient information in the Medical Record to ensure patient care team has access to up-to-date information. Demonstrate the ability to collect and enter data from patient, including however, not limit to vital signs, medication, history of procedure and allergies. Demonstrate the technical ability to use and trouble shoots multiple piece of equipment, including but not limit to dyna-map, wheelchair, computer, scales, printer fax, telemedicine machine and copier machine. Demonstrate an understanding of phone messages and triage of patient at the time of visit.Qualifications:
Education/Skills Graduate of an approved non-online LPN program required.Work Experience:
Work experience preferred but not required. Certification/Licensure-DUEUPON HIRE
Licensed LPN able to practice within the State of MS Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below Basic Life Support Within 30Days of Employment Required Mental Demands:
