  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Rheumatology team.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care, assist with specialized treatments, and support the management of complex autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through compassionate care, precise assessments, and effective treatment administration. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations specific to rheumatologic conditions Administer injections such as corticosteroids or biologic agents when applicable Assist with diagnostic procedures like joint aspirations and laboratory specimen collection Manage patient education on medication regimens, disease management strategies, and lifestyle modifications tailored to autoimmune disorders Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and case managers to optimize treatment outcomes Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations during all patient interactions Skills Knowledge of rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout Familiarity with laboratory testing processes including specimen collection and processing Ability to manage acute pain cases and assist with complex diagnostic evaluations in a fast-paced environment Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge and medical terminology expertise Nursing experience preferred but not required.
