The LPN will provide high-quality patient care across diverse settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics. This role involves performing clinical assessments, administering medications and treatments, and supporting patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a respectful and professional manner. All positions are paid roles, emphasizing the importance of valuing every team member's contribution. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by conducting physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and health evaluations using physiology knowledge and medical terminology. Administer medications, including injections, IV infusions, and other treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy or dermal fillers, following sterile techniques and aseptic procedures. Assist with complex medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, venipuncture, phlebotomy, suturing, spinal taps, and gastric lavage. Monitor patients' conditions in acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; manage airway maintenance with ventilators and assist in emergency situations including airway management and acute pain management. Document patient information accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for medical records and medical documentation. Perform patient assessments including intake procedures, physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and vital signs monitoring to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Support specialized care needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care units, hospice support, infectious disease management, or pediatric care including neonatal ventilator management or toddler care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, or post-acute care strategies to optimize patient outcomes in outpatient or inpatient settings. Maintain infection control standards; adhere to protocols for specimen collection/processing and sterile processing to ensure safety across all clinical activities. Participate in ongoing training on
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for accurate medical billing; utilize EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks effectively to document patient interactions comprehensively. Skills Proven experience as an LPN with critical care experience preferred; familiarity with hospital medicine including ICU experience or Level II Trauma Center exposure is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical imaging procedures such as sonography or radiology support; understanding of anatomy and physiology enhances patient assessment accuracy. Competency in administering IV insertion/insertion techniques; proficiency in injection administration and catheter care is essential for safe medication delivery. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; demonstrated ability to provide compassionate senior care or work within assisted living environments. Excellent communication skills to educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition or chronic disease management; ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children and elderly patients. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding standards; experience with CPT coding for procedures enhances billing accuracy. Knowledge of healthcare software platforms like Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Ability to perform under pressure in urgent care settings or emergency room environments; adept at triage procedures and managing acute pain scenarios efficiently. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities such as specimen collection/processing, medication administration, ventilator management, and documentation within fast-paced clinical environments.
