Job Description
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) , Licensed Nursing Assistant (LPN) We are looking for a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or LPN (Licensed Nursing Assistant) to join The Purcell Clinic! Clinical professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate has experience working with pediatric patients and immunization schedules. Responsibilities Record a patient's medical history accurately Take and record measurements of vital signs, Observe patients to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Administer injections, prescribed medications, assist providers with procedures Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Thoroughly document patient care, responses to medications, Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions Monitor diagnostic testing results and ensure communication to patient/caregiver is complete. Assist with patient triage calls, asses needs, communicate to provider, relay information or schedule appointments accordingly. Assist with vaccine and medical supply inventory maintenance. Skills Proven experience as CMA or similar role Experience navigating electronic medical record systems Ability to undertake a variety of care tasks and work in a fast paced team Familiarity with pediatric health, safety, immunization standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of CMA license program is a must
