Purpose:
The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains patient confidentiality Performs telephone triage as needed Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician Schedules, coordinates and reschedules all patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities) Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians Uses computer system efficiently and accurately. Oversees LPN's and MA's Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed, as well as assisting M.D.
with patients in office:
IV therapy Injections Chemotherapy education Bone marrow biopsies EKG Port access Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
North Carolina or Compact RN license Associate or Bachelor's Degree in
Nursing BLS/CPR Certified Preferred:
One year clinical nursing experience
